Ukulele fun with the band from Aylesbury Uke Jam. Aylesbury Uke Jam meets at the Hop Pole pub twice a month. It is open to anyone who turns up with a ukulele, and is run in an informal way with an inclusive spirit. We play a wide range of songs, and the emphasis is definitely on having fun. The group playing at Hulcott Green comprises just a few of the people who come along to the Uke Jam sessions.
Mark Herdman Trio
Mark is a jazz musician based in London. He can be seen gigging around the whole London area and is a core member of the 48 House Band and the Cosmopolitan Collective Quartet. He can also be seen regularly around London’s late night jam scene, in particular at Ronnie Scott’s. Mark has studied with some of the finest drummers in the country including Steve Vintner, Dave Ohm and UK jazz heavy weight Clark Tracey. He is currently studying at Middlesex University towards a BA(Hons) Jazz.
His trio, featuring trumpeter Luke Vice-Coles (Royal Academy of Music) and bassist Tom Henderson (former member of the National Youth Jazz Collective) will be playing their unique take on the music of Miles Davis. The modal sounds of Kind of Blue from the late 50s will be contrasted with the raw energy of Seven Steps to Heaven from the 60s.
